Q&A

What inspired you to become a therapist?

I felt called to pursue a career as a therapist due to my upbringing in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, where my immigrant parents worked tirelessly to provide for our family. Witnessing their dedication and resilience, I developed an innate desire to learn and support others from a young age. As I delved deeper into understanding my own family dynamics and upbringing, I became intrigued by the reasons behind our behaviors and interactions. This curiosity led me to explore the mental health field. Becoming a therapist was a natural choice for me because I recognized the potential of the tools and insights I would gain to positively impact my community. I believe that the knowledge and understanding I acquire can serve as a catalyst for healing within families and individuals who may not have access to such resources. My journey into therapy is rooted in the belief that everyone possesses inherent strengths and resilience, and my goal is to empower others to recognize and harness these internal resources for growth and healing.

What do you feel are your greatest strengths?

My greatest strength resides in my unwavering trust in my intuition, complemented by my solid foundation in evidence-based techniques. I embody compassion and possess a remarkable ability to create a safe and grounded space for others. Drawing from my own experiences and upbringing, I bring a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals from diverse backgrounds. This empathy allows me to connect authentically with my clients and tailor my approach to meet their unique needs. Additionally, my commitment to ongoing learning and growth ensures that I stay updated with the latest developments in the field, enhancing my effectiveness as a therapist. Through empathy, intuition, and a dedication to excellence, I strive to empower my clients on their journey towards healing and self-discovery.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My intention is for clients to leave sessions with a profound sense of empowering support, imbued with trust and compassion, guiding them as they courageously confront the obstacles in their path. I am committed to assisting clients in leveraging these challenges as opportunities for profound growth and transformation, fostering resilience and self-discovery along their journey. My goal is to provide valuable insights, practical tools, and a renewed sense of confidence, empowering clients to navigate life's twists and turns with clarity and compassion.
